Spooky Karaoke Season Finale: 5 Halloween Songs From Drink & Draw

This is it, the Spooky Karaoke season finale. After round one on Oct 8, round two on Oct 15, and round three on Oct 22, the Thursday, October 29 Drink & Draw was my last spooky karaoke stream of 2026. Chat requests, a favorite reprise, and a finale with an actual zombie dance crew. My co-host Erdwick was right there with me, providing commentary, moral support, and opinions about hats.

Speaking of hats: I couldn't find my Gengar hat, which would have been the most seasonally appropriate choice, so my Kirby hat got the call. Kirbs it is! Erd's take: "Everybody says nice hat, Leanore, but never says nice hat, Erdy." Noted, Erdy. Nice hat.

The Purple People Eater, Sheb Wooley

A quick, silly opener to warm up the room. It started with a false start so quick I had to joke it was the shortest song ever, that's the whole song! Then we tried that again and I sang it properly, one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eater and all.

Cemetery Gates, Pantera

This was chat's pick from round three, and it was requested by my friend Ray, who doesn't often request songs. His review of the band: "Pantera is whiskey in music form." Correct.

I sang the whole thing, and then at the very end I skipped the final high notes on purpose, purely to tease him. "I'm not doing that... Are you happy now?" To be clear, those notes are well within my range. The unfortunate side effect of being one of my closest friends is that sometimes I sing an entire song for you and then lovingly withhold the big finish.

Witchy Woman, Eagles

Another request that chat pitched back on Oct 22. I had been playing this one on repeat, like 80 times, getting it ready, and I took it somewhere of my own.

Erd's verdict: "That is not how the original goes, but I like your version a lot, like a lot a lot." I'm calling it transformative. I fully feminized that song, and I regret nothing.

Horror Movie, Skyhooks

A reprise from round two, because it is my favorite song of the songs I've already sung for Spooky Season. Some songs you sing once. Some you bring back for the finale.

Also, a quick ruling from earlier in the night: someone asked about Under the Bridge, and I had to say no. This is a spooky stream.

Thriller, Michael Jackson

The fan favorite and the big finale. Snarky in chat challenged me to pull off dancers for this one, and I said I bet I can. So I built a custom dancing zombie animation for it. I spent days testing this. (Naturally, the button decided to stop working right before showtime, because that's how tech works. We got there.)

Neon zombies danced through the whole song, Vincent Price rap included, while chat chimed in with "Every Day is Halloween," "Feed my Frankenstein," and a well-timed "oh no zombies." If you caught Thriller in round three, this is the version with backup dancers.

Thank you for a spooky season

That's a wrap on Spooky Karaoke for 2026. Thank you to everyone who requested songs, pitched reprises, guessed one-word titles, dropped lyrics in chat, and hung out with me and Erd for all four rounds. You made this season so much fun.
