Leanoreween 2026 Prompt List + Participation Guide

Hello everyone! It's time for Leanoreween 2026.

I redesigned this particular seasonal challenge on purpose: fewer prompts, more ways to play, so more human creatives can actually join the fun without burning out halfway through October. Below is the official prompt list and participation guide. Get inspired, get ready, and create when the challenge kicks off on the 4th.

I'm excited to see what y'all make.

Official Prompt List

*Art by Leanore / Art Life by Leanore.*

There are nine total prompts across three weeks.

Week 1

1. Apparition 2. Cauldron 3. Eldritch

Week 2

4. Harvest 5. Lurking 6. Phantasm

Week 3

7. Revenant 8. Scarecrow 9. Wailing

Again, those prompts are Apparition, Cauldron, Eldritch, Harvest, Lurking, Phantasm, Revenant, Scarecrow, and Wailing.

How flexible is this?

You get options: - make nine individual pieces (one per prompt), or - make three pieces by combining the prompts for each week, or - make one big creative masterpiece using all nine prompts combined

The idea is for you to be inspired to create something seasonally appropriate in whatever medium you work in. Drawing, painting, digital, comics, writing, music, sculpture, stitches, slime, whatever your hands (and brain) do best.

Participation Guide

This art challenge is designed to encourage all human creatives to participate in the fun.

Use the prompts, in order, to get inspiration. Combine them, or not, to suit your workflow.

When you post your work, use #Leanoreween or #Leanoreween2026 so I can find you. I want to see your wonderful creations, share them, catalogue them, and tell you how great you are.

When does it run?

Leanoreween 2026 officially starts October 4th and runs through October 24th.

Take a look at the prompt list, start working through some ideas, and I cannot wait to see what everybody creates.
